Client Case Study
Rebranding Kiss My Cherry
CLIENT : Rebranding Kiss My Cherry
PROJECT: 2nd Generation of Fascinator eCommerce Store -
URL: https://www.kissmycherry.com
Brief
Lara Masters journalist, society blogger, hat designer extraordinaire and daughter of Pineapple Dance Studios Debbie Moore called us in. The challenge was to take an existing brand which had outgrown it's original website, maintain continuity and showcase a range of unique, often one-off fashion head pieces. The new site had to reflect the quirkiness, for which Lara is so well known, provide a place for her writings (both past and ongoing), and allow visitors to purchase and pay online.
Solution
We used the ExpressionEngine CMS platform to provide the backbone of the site, which allows Lara and her team to easily add and maintain content of the various blogs and pages across the site.
We used the aptly named BrilliantRetail module, that seamlessly fits in with ExpressionEngine and powers the shopping side of the site. Features of this solution include the ability to add images, options, pricing, discount codes, delivery options and much more. Once an order is placed on the site, the Kiss My Cherry team receive instant email notification, then then simply log into the site, print off the order / despatch note and when the order is complete, they update the order and the customer gets a friendly email update that their goods are on the way.
As well as the eCommerce side of the site, a big and equally important section was the area for Lara's writing archive and blog. Lara and her brand Kiss My Cherry enjoy a high profile in London fashion circles and the site was developed with high levels of traffic expected. Full SEO integration of course!
And we had to beat the deadline of a 5 page article in OK! magazine.. Nothing like a bit of added pressure!
